Has your coach achieved success? If not why not?

How do you know if your coach is the right coach for you? To find out the answer then all you have to do is answer one simple question. Have you improved? If the answer is yes. The next question has to be by a little or a lot and are you still improving? If the answer is no.
Then the next question is why not?
This may be your fault in that you are not committed enough to put in the effort required to make you succeed or you have been ill or injured. It may also be the fact that the physical requirements needed to help you succeed are not known to your coach. In which case, you either have to consider changing your coach or asking him/her to develop his knowledge in the area that is holding you back.
If you think that the answer to your problems is speed and power, then you are not alone. The two most intimidating factors in most sports are the two that most coaches know the least about! Performance fitness has to include speed and power and it is up to the coaches working in this area to understand these components because this is what most performers crave. They need all the other physical components as well but without speed and power then the ability to succeed can stop performers achieving their dreams.
